NATIONAL YOUTH AND STUDENT MENTORING INITIATIVE (NYSMI)

The National Youth and Student Mentoring Initiative is a broad based mentoring programme designed to meet the needs of virtually all segments of the African society. We have discovered that the major problem of failure in the society today is not the failure of teachers but the unavailability of mentors to deliberately reproduce themselves in people and lead them to greatness.

This is what this programme is all about under our different platform and components.

R-COM (RURAL COMMUNITY MENTORING PROJECT)

The focus of this is to reduce poverty by giving direction to youth and young adults in our rural communities. Our aim is to make every young man in our rural area have direction before they have erection and every young lady to get a job before they get pregnant.

OSYMI (OSOPADEC YOUTH AND STUDENT MENTORING INITIATIVE)

The OSYMI is a special intervention of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) to aid students and youths in its mandate area to greatness through speciliased mentoring and motivation programmes.

MOMI (MO ABUDU MENTORING INITIATIVE FOR GIRL CHILD)

MOMI is a programme designed in the name of media magnet Mo Abudu, to motivate the girl child to lead a life of meaning and impact.    The 21st century has been laying emphasis on women welfare and wellbeing, but it will be impossible to have an effective and efficient woman without crafting a total Girl Child. This programme does exactly this.

LASMI (LAGOS STUDENTS’ MENTORING INITIATIVE)

This is another way the Lagos State government is making impart and investing in the future of its most important but vulnerable citizens.   Students in Lagos are given the opportunity to grow with a mentor who will be available to lend a helping hands in their today’s education and their future expectation.
